As the undisputed Queen of the Sherrill Social Circle, Socialite Hostess Extraordinaire Gwendolyn Perry wields her power and responsibility with unerring marksmanship from high above the town in her home, Gracious Oaks. Infiltrating even the lowest stratosphere of Sherrill’s class system with her own brand of socially responsible goodness and a practical no-nonsense directness of manner, she makes certain that everyone in town is an active part of our big little small town.

A transplant from Hicksville, Long Island, Cooleridge Juiceman keeps strong ties with all of Sherrill’s elite -- primarily for the purpose of maintaining her status as the louder half of the two "Town Criers" (what Yankees call Gossips). Having had to fight through an arduous Social Register Outsider Registration process, she still feels the sting of not being Southern-born; hence her almost maniacal desire to prove herself worthy in the eyes of the denizens of Sherrill while hiding behind the purple-tinted veneer of her oversized bifocals.

As mechanic and all-around, handy man for Gwendolyn Perry for over 15 years, Carl Cerver has handled everything from lighting installation on an outdoor trellis to gilded mirror replacement in the Grand Ballroom at Gracious Oaks. Originally from the West Texas plains, his slow, direct manner fits perfectly within the Staff Scheme created by Gwendolyn Perry when she put together the Gracious Oaks Preservation and Enrichment Program. Working closely with his wife, Ida (exquisite housekeeper, discriminating cook and wizardress of all things domestic) and with Frank Butler, Carl helps to manage Gracious Oaks with a precision that has intrigued the Texas State Society of Organizational Affairs, who plan to develop a similar management system to implement state-wide.
